If you have been in youth ministry for very long, then you have probably run across this situation: You are looking out over a mass of teenage activity, and there you spot a clump of adults.
I'm not sure if they are scared to talk to the kids, or just prefer the comfort of talking to someone that will probably not shoot them down if they say something wrong. Whichever it is, at the heart of it, most volunteers really do want to get to know the kids. They just need an avenue. A great way to provide that avenue, is to give your adults some random poll to go around and ask the kids. Make sure that you instruct your adults to get the kids name, and try to find out one other thing about the kid.
I did this last week with my volunteers, and it was awesome! I actually offered a $5 McD's gift card for the volunteer to get the most names.

The point of this drama is to illustrate worship as dancing with God. We set up the drama by talking about how when one person does their part of a couple's dance, it is awkward. When they come together awkward plus awkward does not equal really awkward, it equal beauty. There's something about coming together that changes things in a powerful way. Then we did the skit, and followed it by talking about when you first start out it may be difficult, but the more you worship, the better you become.
